Tragedy struck as the Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas lost his 44 year old sister to a gun shot wound sustained in a controversial circumstances.
An unconfirmed report stated that Atsi Kefas, the Governors younger sister died of accidental discharge by some security agents, while a related report rumoured she died from gunshot sustained in a robbery attack on her.
However while some sources rumoured that it was the gunshots from a bandit attack, others suggest that it may have been caused by an accidental discharge from a security operative travelling with her.
The state police command, through spokesperson Usman Abdullahi, however rested the controversies, attributing the incident to an armed robbery attack.
Informed sources reveal that Atsi Kefas, after haven sustained injuries from the incident was taken to Federal University Teaching Hospital in Wukari but later transferred to a private hospital in Abuja, where she received treatment before her eventual demise.
